Description: Construction Manager as Agent for renovations to the Koch Theater, including: replacing the existing orchestra pit with a new mechanical pit lift system (first in the U.S.), new stage rigging, new stage lighting, upgrades to the projector room, a new A/V media suite, new finishes, seating, carpet and wall covering as well as upgrades to the electrical and HVAC infrastructure. This project was driven by an aggressive schedule. Because the theater remained occupied with ongoing performances and daily operations, major construction activities occurred while the theater was dark. Multiple shifts and 7-day work weeks were implemented to meet the schedule.
